Stuff I Want To Blog About
IF…
I didn’t have a baby with hand, foot and mouth disease.
Dman hadn’t been in India for a month, leaving me alone with two sick children.
I wasn’t juggling [single-for-now] motherhood with getting my MFA.
I hadn’t been ill for what feels like three months with bronchitis, a cracked rib, a never-ending cough/cold/flu thing.
BUT…
Dman is on his way home—yay! And at least little D has recovered from her bronchitis. (BB is the one with HFMD, poor little boy.)
SO…
I should soon be able to write longer, thoughtful and engaging posts about:
George Saunders, my new literary crush.
Girls, the Show of Our Time (well, maybe not my time because I’m old and living in Paris, but the Show of Twenty-Something Hipsters in Brooklyn Time) that I’m finally getting around to watching.
My awesome MFA program and my new writing life.
My quest for a yoga body and a buddha mind.
Parisian living, five years in.
This year’s resolutions!
The embarrassing 50 Shades of Grey that I embarrassingly read in its trilogical entirety.
Getting Attempting to get my French license and passport.
My sewing projects.
And food porn!
These are a few of the things kicking around in the blogging part of my brain. I promise to tackle at least one by next week.
I miss this space and all of you. Be back soon.
Hello, life! Glad that the kids are getting better, likely just in time to catch the next bug. When she was a baby, my daughter caught HFMD, so I understand about seeing all those blisters and wishing you could take away the discomfort. At least you did blog and things will settle down again so you can share your thoughts with us again. Je vous souhaite bon santé!
Thanks, Jenny. Crazy enough, when I was 24, I caught it, too—and it was miserable—so I’m hoping his nerve endings aren’t fully developed yet so it’s less painful. At least, that’s what my mama mind is wishing. Happy new year (and year of the snake) to you and your family!! XO
